Terror-4: Death Penalty of Yakub Memon, tweets

"Demonstrators in Turkey took to the streets earlier this month in at times violent protests following reports that Chinese authorities had restricted fasting among Uighurs, a mainly Muslim, Turkic-speaking ethnic minority based in China’s far-western Xinjiang region. As in past years, the reports detailed notices on state media and government websites calling for party cadres, students, teachers and government workers to refrain from observing Ramadan. They also detailed new efforts such as a state-sponsored beer festival in a heavily-Muslim area.
China maintains that it respects its citizens’ freedom of religion and that there is no “ethnic problem” in Xinjiang, which has been hit by waves of violence in recent years..."(source: 'WSJ')

"None of these so-called jihads has been declared by any government. All of these self-styled jihads have been declared and are conducted by non-state forces and actors. If some of these violent movements have the backing of any Muslim government, this is being done secretly, while according to the shariah jihad on the part of a government must entail an open declaration. Without this, qital on the part of a Muslim government is illegal.
Today, the various violent movements in the name of jihad being engaged in by some Muslims are of two types: they are either guerrilla wars or proxy wars. Both sorts of war are completely illegal according to Islam. Guerrilla wars are unacceptable in Islam because they are led and conducted by non-state actors, not by any established government. Likewise, proxy wars are unacceptable in Islam because the governments behind them do not issue a formal and open declaration of war. This is not allowed in Islam.."

''..Jihad, properly understood, is a continuous action or process that animates every day and night of the life of the true believer. Such a person does not let any hurdle affect his life, including desire for gain, the pressure of customs, the demands of pragmatism, lust for wealth, etc.. All these things serve as hurdles in the path of doing good deeds. Overcoming these hurdles and yet abiding by the commandments of God is the true jihad.."

"Jihad, in essence, is a form of peaceful action or activism. This peaceful activism can take the form of inviting others to the path of truth. The Quran advises us not to obey those who champion falsehood, and tells us to engage in jihad with them through the Quran. This means that one should respond to them by inviting them to the path of the truth, striving till one’s utmost in this regard. The jihad that this Quranic verse refers to is not physical warfare."

Bhagwat Geeta:

This is how Bhagwat declared thousand of years before, of course not for jihad, but how to concentrate. War itself being separate subject is dealt separately. Techniques can be used by anyone but as is said, "A Little Knowledge is adangerous thing."

"When a person gives up all his desires and remains satisfied within himself, that is the state of mind of a Sthit-Pragya.."

"One who does not get sad in grief, or elated in joy; one who has been able to free himself from attachments, fear, and anger; such person is Sthit-Pragya. A person is Sthit-Pragya when he is devoid of all attachments; is neither pleased nor envious; is neither delighted nor dejected at the outcome of his efforts.."
(Bhagwat Gita: Chapter2, 55.56.57)

Coming Back to Yakub's Death-Penality:

"Unfortunately, such insensitive remarks are being raised by a couple of minority community leaders who forget that it is the Indian judiciary that has always corrected illegal distortions in its own system. Ever since the Supreme Court rejected Memon’s clemency petitions, the knives are out to destroy its credibility. Shamelessly spraying criminal justice with communal hues, a few self-appointed leaders belonging to India’s peace-loving Muslim community are questioning the independence of the judiciary. They choose to forget that it has taken over 22 years for the prosecuting agencies to get justice for the 257 innocents who were massacred in the 1993 Mumbai blasts.."
